Class Descriptions
All yoga classes offered at Botannix Yoga are holistic in nature, including postures (asana), breathing practices (pranayama), meditation (dhyana) and yoga philosophy (shasrta), and emphasise the power of yoga to enhance physical, mental, emotional & spiritual wellbeing.

Sunrise Vinyasa Flow (In studio)
A smooth, balanced mindful, flowing practice, focusing on breath awareness, posture to posture alignment, sun salutations, surya namaskar yoga sequence, movement, mantra, meditation. Sunrise flow aims to create openness, energise the body to focus the mind and conquer fear whilst grounding, calming and relaxing the body for your day ahead.
Mixed level practice | Basic to more yoga experience is recommended.

Intermediate Vinyasa Flow (In studio)
A dynamic strong flowing practice focusing on creative sequencing, aims to build strength, increase flexibility, calm the mind and open the heart whilst helping to embody the powerful lessons of the yoga traditions. Some classes may incorporate mudra & mantra.
Yoga experience required.

Vinyasa Flow (In studio)
A smooth flowing sequence, focusing on posture to posture, breath to breath conscious alignment, movement, mantra, meditation. Vinyasa Flow aims to create openness, energise the body to focus the mind and conquer fear.
Mixed level practice | Basic to more yoga experience is recommended.

Slow Flow Vinyasa (In studio)
A slow, mindful meditative flowing practice, focusing on a slower sequence, movement to breath awareness, slightly longer holds, conscious alignment. Slow Flow Vinyasa aims to ground down, clam and relax the body to create clarity and peace of mind.
Mixed level practice | No experience, to basic yoga experience is recommended.

Hatha (In studio)
A mindful practice, focusing on pranayama, breathwork, intention, mediation and mantra combined with gentle slower movements and yoga poses. Hatha aims to align and calm the body, mind and spirit.

Yin (In studio)
A grounding, releasing and medicinal practice, focusing on developing a mindful self-awareness through stillness and longer holds of the poses. Yin yoga stretches and targets both the deep connective tissues between the muscles and the fascia throughout the body. The aim is to increase circulation, improving flexibility and mobility to the joints thus minimising pain that can sometimes build up within the body. Using the power of the breath and working in harmony within the meridian system, the chi energy targets a specific body organ or multiple organs, offering an ideal opportunity to be nourished in a safe environment where physical, emotional and mental healing occur.

Meditation, Pranayama, Slow flow, Yin combo (In studio)
A calming, nourishing, grounding practice, focusing on mindfulness techniques through an intention (san kalpa) on a particular word, object, thought. Meditation aims to train attention, awareness, and achieve a mentally clear, emotional calm state. Pranayama focuses on the control of the breathing, to shift energy and keep the blood flow healthy within the body. Slow flow Vinyasa offers a slower mindful flowing movement, focusing on longer holds, conscious alignment, maintaining the breath and mindfulness meditation.
